NCFC Week 2 Players of the Week Announced
The National Callifornia Football Conference (NCFC) is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 2 of the season. These standout athletes have shown exceptional skill and performance on the field, earning them recognition as the best in their respective categories.
Modesto's Luke Weaver of the National Division has been named the Offensive Player of the Week for his impressive performance. Weaver completed 16 of 21 passes for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also rushing 8 times for 37 yards and 2 touchdowns. His versatility and leadership on the field were key factors in his team's success against Santa Rosa.
On the defensive side, Diablo Valley's Safir Stills-Bay stood out as the National Division Defensive Player of the Week. Stills-Bay recorded 8 tackles, 1 interception for 60 yards, and 1 pass breakup, showcasing his ability to make big plays and disrupt the American River's offense.
In the American Division, Bryton Livingston of Redwoods was named the Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance. Livingston completed 18 of 23 passes for 262 yards and 5 touchdowns, while also adding 1 carry for 21 yards and a touchdown. His accuracy and playmaking ability were instrumental in his team's victory.
Cody Huntsinger of the College of the Siskiyous earned the title of American Division Defensive Player of the Week for his standout performance. Huntsinger recorded 6 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery, showcasing his ability to disrupt the opposing team's offense and make key plays when needed.
These Players of the Week have demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and leadership on the field, setting a high standard for their teammates and competitors.
