NCFC National Division and American Division Week 6 Matchups

As we head into the 6th week of the season, the NCFC National Division and American Division are gearing up for some exciting matchups.

In the National Division, Laney College will face off against Fresno City College in a highly anticipated game between two old conference rivals. Laney College has been on a winning streak, with victories over Shasta College and Santa Rosa Junior College. Fresno, on the other hand, has won its first four games and is coming off a close loss to College of San Mateo. Both teams have strong quarterbacks leading the way, with Laney's Beau Blau and Fresno's Ryan Markarian and Ya'J Vance. Fresno's defense has been solid, giving up only 11.6 points per game, while Laney is giving up 23.3 points per game.

In the American Division, Monterey Peninsula will take on San Jose City College in a Golden Coast League Game. Monterey comes into the game with a perfect 4-0 record, while San Jose is 3-1. Monterey's QB Eric Gibson and running back Kieryus Boone will look to continue their strong performances, while San Jose's Will Augenstein and Jesse Lajes will lead the charge for their team. San Jose's defense has been stingy, allowing only 19.3 points per game, while Monterey is holding teams to 17.5 points per game.
