Modesto at Santa Rosa Highlights Week 2 NCFC Matchups
2024 National Valley League champion Modesto travels to take on Santa Rosa in a Week 2 battle on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Both squads are 1-0 after opening-day wins. Modesto handled Laney 40-14 while Santa Rosa outlasted San Francisco 41-38 in overtime. Modesto enters the contest ranked No. 4 in the first regular season state coaches poll with Santa Rosa checking in at No. 18.
The game will be streamed live online by NorCal Sports TV for free on YouTube.
The only other matchup of 1-0 teams is San Jose at Sacramento. That game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff at SCC's Hughes Stadium.

On just 9 carries, Davis rushed for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Modesto in a 40-14 victory over Laney.
National Division Defense: Nate Goldsbury, San Jose
Goldsbury put up some big numbers in SJCC's 39-19 opening-night win over Shasta with 9 tackles, a sack, 2 TFL's, 2 forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and an interception.
American Division Offense: Caron Madison, Cabrillo
Madison rushed for a state-high 238 yards on 23 carries, scoring 2 touchdowns in the opening-day victory over Contra Costa.
American Division Defense: Hosie Hopkins, De Anza
Hosie Hopkins helped lead De Anza to a 31-2 victory over San Joaquin Delta. He led the Mountain Lions' defense with 3 sacks for a total loss of 19 yards and a forced fumble.
